The Hunger Games Mockingjay

By Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games Mockingjay is part three of an astonishing Hunger Games trilogy that has also become a blockbuster movie series. It is a thrilling and exciting book full of suspense and action. The main character Katniss Everdeen is thrust into the role of the Mockingjay to motivate the rebel alliance in the revolution against President Snow and the Capital. Katniss and her allies are stationed underground in District 13 and are fighting for the freedom of all the districts. However, amongst all of this Katniss is dealing with her own demons and guilt over the revolution including the destruction of her District and capture and torture of her fellow victor, Peeta Malark. Katniss's heart is also torn between a growing love for Peeta and a deep friendship with her childhood sweetheart Gale. The revolution claims many victims and as the revolution comes to a head Katniss's choice and future becomes more clear. It is a spellbinding and at times tragic end to a truly captivating series. I highly recommend this book to people of all ages.
