The Butterfly Lion

 This is a nerve-wracking yet heartwarming novel by this award-winning author. I recommend this book to children 8 years and older because it is an enjoyable, easy read.

 A boy called Bertie rescues an orphaned white lion cub from Africa. They cannot be torn apart. Then Bertie is sent to boarding school far, far away in England and the lion is bought by a circus. Bertie solemnly promises that one day they will see each other again. The butterfly lion cub ensures that their friendship will never be forgotten.

    Thanks Amani - any book by Michael Morpurgo should be fantastic. He is a brilliant author. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. Are there any others you recommend?

      These are the books i also liked
      .Running Wild.
      .An Elephant in the garden .
      .Born to run .
      The first too books are about elephants and the 3rd one is about a greyhound .All 3 are beautiful books.
