Auggie Pullman wants, more than anything, to be normal. But how do you be normal when you're born abnormal. He's been home schooled by his mother all the way up to year 6. Hiding behind his perfect white picket fence. How could he ever face school looking like he does? His Family will happily pretend that he's an average ten year old boy but his family are his family and they're definitely not going to be like the girls and boys at school.
